What is DESC?
If you own a tablet, computer or a smart phone, you have instant access to massive amounts knowledge literally at your fingertips. Yet your child still lugs a backbreaking sack of books home from school every day which contains only a fraction of that knowledge. Does it make sense that many schools still use the same book-and-pencil method of teaching we used in the 1800s when we have such a bounty of technological riches? Defining Education through Student Computing, or DESC, was created to answer that question.
